So, I think I'm finally getting the hang of this, hopefully I haven't spoken too soon. These are the last six head paintings I've done in the order that I've done them from my head painting class. I definitely think there's been improvement and more consistency as of late.

Bald Kate
Last semester I was with some friends when they decided that they wanted to dye their hair and them dying their hair made me think about how easy it is for someone to change his or her appearance or even who he or she is just by dying his or her hair. So I decided to paint my friend, Kate, bald in front of the wall of hair dye choices at the store. It's about 4x2 feet, painted with oils. The background isn't finished.

Head Paintings
Golden Ratio
I did these a couple of years ago, but I've been thinking about doing more with this idea. I broke up the square with a grid based on the golden ratio. They're 12x12 inches, done in acrylic. First one is my brother, and it's my favorite and probably the most successful, and the other two are self portraits.

How many times do I need to be told to make an art blog before I actually do?
My friend and I are planning on making a sports blog and have been for some time. We'll see if we ever do because we have been in the planning stage for months, but these are some illustrations I did for an article we are planning to write. I'd tell you what the article is going to be about, but then maybe someone would steal our idea. These were done in adobeillustrator.
